Privacy policy
What playeuchre.games collects, why, who it goes to, how live audio and video are handled, and the rights you have over your data.
Effective 7 September 2026.
playeuchre.games is operated by PK Digital Marketing LLC, a Michigan limited liability company. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers the website, the game and live audio and video.
1. The short version
You can play euchre here without giving us anything at all. No account, no email, no camera. We collect information only when you choose to sign in, turn on video, or buy a Host Pass.
We never record your audio or video, and we never collect biometric data. Section 4 covers that in detail, because it is the part people most want to be sure about.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
2. Who this policy is for
The Service is offered only to people in the United States and Canada. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 13. An account, and therefore live audio and video, requires you to be 18 or older. See Section 10.
3. What we collect
If you just play
- A display name you type. It does not have to be your real name.
- The table you are at and your game state.
- Local browser storage holding your name, your game settings and a count of games played, so you do not retype them.
None of this identifies you, and none of it is tied to an account.
If you create an account
- Your email address. Used to send sign-in codes and receipts. Nothing else.
- Your display name, saved game settings, friend list, and your playing record: games, wins and losses, tricks, go-alones, marches, times euchred, favorite suit, and a history of recent games.
- Sign-in session identifiers.
If you buy a Host Pass
Payment is handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. We store the customer and subscription identifiers our processor gives us, whether your account has an active pass, and when the term started and ends.
If you turn on audio or video
See Section 4. In short: it is transmitted live and it is not stored.
Analytics and advertising
We work with analytics and advertising providers to understand how people find the site and whether the game works for them. This involves cookies and similar technologies, and includes device and browser information, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and actions taken in the game. One of those providers is Google Analytics, which we name because Google's terms require us to; you can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at google.com/policies/privacy/partners.
Attribution
If you arrive from an advertisement or a tagged link, we store the first source in your browser and, once you sign in, on your account. This includes campaign tags, advertising click identifiers, the referring site and the landing page. It is how we know which advertising is worth paying for.
4. Live audio and video
This is the most sensitive thing the Service touches, so we are specific about it.
We do not record. We do not record, store, transcribe, caption, archive or retain your audio or video. There is no recording feature in the product.
We do not analyze. We do not run face detection, face recognition, facial geometry mapping, emotion analysis, age estimation, voiceprint analysis, speech-to-text, or any comparable processing on your audio or video.
We do not train on it. We do not use your audio or video to train, fine-tune or evaluate any machine learning model, and we do not permit our providers to.
We collect no biometric information. We do not collect, capture, purchase, receive, store, use, disclose, redisclose, sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from any biometric identifier or biometric information, as those terms are defined in the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act, the Washington biometric privacy statute, or any comparable law. Because we collect none, we have no biometric retention schedule and nothing to destroy.
How it works technically. Audio and video are carried in real time by our video provider in a private room created for your table and destroyed afterward. Each participant receives a short-lived access token scoped to that room. Media is in transit only. We hold no copy, and our agreement with the provider does not permit them to retain or use it either.
What we do keep is the fact that a table had video on, for how long, and how many participant minutes it used, so we can pay our video bill and understand usage. That is a count, not content.
Other participants can see and hear you while your camera and microphone are on, and so can spectators at that table. Our Terms prohibit anyone from recording another participant without the consent of everyone captured, but we cannot technically prevent someone from recording their own screen. Please treat a video table the way you would treat any video call.
5. Why we use it
- To run the game and keep you in your seat
- To send sign-in codes and purchase receipts
- To process payments and support them
- To provide live audio and video when enabled
- To measure how the site performs and whether advertising works
- To detect, prevent and investigate abuse, fraud and security incidents
- To comply with law
Your email address is never sold, never rented, never added to a marketing list, and never shown to other players, including friends you invite.
6. Who we share it with
Only the providers that make the Service work. Each acts as our service provider or processor, is bound by contract to use the data only to provide its service to us, and may not sell it or use it for its own purposes.
| Category of recipient | What they do | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting and infrastructure | Runs the website, the game servers and account storage | Everything we store, at rest |
| Video and audio provider | Carries live audio and video between players | Media in transit, display name, session tokens |
| Payment processor | Takes payment and manages subscriptions | Payment details, email, purchase records |
| Email delivery | Sends sign-in codes and receipts | Email address, message content |
| Analytics and advertising providers | Measure site performance and advertising | Usage data, identifiers, click identifiers |
If you want the names, email us and we will tell you which specific companies sit in each category. We will give you that list whether or not the law where you live entitles you to it.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena or court order, to protect our rights or the safety of any person, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will post notice here before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months, including with respect to anyone under 16.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary: session, sign-in, name and settings storage. The Service does not work without these.
Analytics and advertising: set by our analytics and advertising providers, as described above.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser, and use browser tracking protection or an extension. The game still works. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal where the law requires it, and treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing.
8. Retention
- Account data: kept while the account exists, and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
- Audio and video: never stored, so nothing to retain.
- Payment records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally seven years.
- Analytics data: kept according to the retention period set on our analytics account.
- Table and game state: transient, and discarded when the table ends.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to obtain a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, to limit the use of sensitive information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We extend all of these rights to every user, in every US state and in Canada, regardless of whether the law where you live requires it.
To exercise any of them, email hello@playeuchre.games from the address on your account, or tell us the address if you do not have one. We will verify your identity by that email address and respond within 45 days, extendable once where the law allows. You may use an authorized agent. There is no charge.
If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our response with the word "Appeal". We will answer the appeal within 45 days. California residents may also contact the California Privacy Protection Agency, and Canadian users may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Creating an account, and therefore using live audio or video, requires you to be 18 or older. Under the federal COPPA rule, a child's image and voice are personal information, which is one reason we keep the camera an adults-only feature.
If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email hello@playeuchre.games and we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and want an account under your household closed, we will close it on request.
11. Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, sign-in by one-time code rather than stored passwords, scoped short-lived tokens for video, and payment handling delegated entirely to a PCI-compliant processor so card data never reaches us. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data and the size of our operation, and we review them periodically.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and any regulator as the law requires.
12. Where your data is processed
Our providers process and store data in the United States. If you are in Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and may be accessible to US authorities under US law.
13. Changes
We will update this policy as the Service changes. The date at the top changes with it. For material changes we will notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
